Chris Mattice has held various positions in the fitness industry, including Personal Trainer, Fitness Manager, Membership Sales Consultant, Area Director and Corporate Director of Training and Development, Franchise Director and Franchise Director of sales. Interests

He is in the Martial Arts Hall Of Fame – need we say more.  He is an artifact.!  Also, his never-ending quest to seek royalties for the movie “Enter The Dragon” starring Bruce Lee, which he says is an accurate rip-off of his life story.

Jim Harshbarger (ACE, Tactical Athlete Kettle Bell, B.S.B.A.) has been a trainer in the Northern Virginia area for 4 years and has been at Cypress since August of 2013. As a firm believer in concrete results, Jim pushes his clients to the brink, mostly through strength training and HIT circuits. For himself, the goal of achieving ideal health is worked through proper nutrition, maximal strength training and competitions, athletic activities, and plenty of sleep, and he preaches these things to his clients as well. Becky retired in 2008 from a long, stressful career in business consulting to technology organizations. Transitioning into a post-retirement career in fitness and yoga has been a welcome change and one that Becky considers as extremely enjoyable and fulfilling. Becky uses a caring and individualized approach to working with her clients and students, with particular attention to maintaining healthy alignment and movement patterns.

Alfred’s bodybuilding accomplishments include: 1st Place – Men’s Middleweight (NGA Mt. Rogers Bodybuilding Championship, November 2007) 1st Place – Overall 35 and Older; 2nd Place – Modeling (Organized Competitive Body Building, August 2007) Overall Winner – Mr. Virginia (NPA Virginia State, April 2007 3rd Place – Men’s Middleweight Open and 5th Place for Men 35 and Older (Potomac Cup Bodybuilding Championship, July 2006) 1st Place – Men’s Middleweight Open and 1st Place for Men 35 and Older (Annapolis Bodybuilding Championship, June 2006) 1st Place – Men’s Lightweight Open (Mt. Alfred is currently on a path to nationally compete in Spartan races.  Alfred current claim to fame is the record amount of burpees in a single race for men with the biggest biceps.

As a NAS (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified personal fitness trainer, Keith brings a plethora of diversity to the Northern Virginia area.  Growing up in Rochester, NY, he has amassed many years in the fitness training industry working with various individuals ranging from athletes to rehab patients.  Keith has also held certifications from Poliquin and NFPT.
His journey into fitness began working with Anthony Alberti (former strength and conditioning coach with the Kansas City Chiefs) at Lifetime Fitness in Penfield, NY. Since moving to the area, he began working at Reston Hospital in the Physical Therapy department. While at the Reston Hospital, he worked as an exercise specialist assisting patins through various phases of rehabilitation.
“My personal goal with each of my clients is to educate and motivate the individual to maximize their body knowledge and training performance by realizing his or her true abilities, and ultimately helping them achieve the many successes that a healthy body will provide them with in life.”

Interests:

Infusing and sharing his love of baseball with his son.  Turning all the Cypress TV’s on to hockey, during hockey season and long drawn out camping trips, fishing included.  Oh, and long walks on the beach!  Keith is waiting for the day that Five Guys comes out with Organic Burger, dogs and Fries.
