Please Welcome Liz Bracken, our newest addition to the Cypress Family and Community, in Mclean Virginia.
Those that have had the pleasure of working with Liz have had had some very life altering changes with her treatment options.
Liz utilizes various manual therapy techniques in treatment. She has found that this approach provides her patients with the best outcomes and function. By addressing the body as an entire system, Liz is able to assess the primary source of pain and limitation.
Fascial Counterstrain, Integrated Manual Therapy and Myofascial Release are the main tools that Liz’s uses. Fascial Counterstrain treats connective tissue dysfunction that can compress nerve, vascular and ligamentous structures. It is a gentle technique that allows the body to recover from protective responses and restores function quickly. Integrated Manual Therapy accesses the nervous system in order to address neural tension, joint compression and inherent tissue holding. Myofascial Release is a technique that decreases connective tissue restriction. This will increase joint mobility, decreased inflammation and improve muscle recruitment. Liz has found that this combination of techniques to be most effective in addressing her patient’s goals.
